Matthew Nierman is a highly experienced immigration attorney with over 15 years of success guiding multinational corporations, publicly traded scientific and research companies, logistics and trucking firms, startups, and skilled professionals through the complexities of U.S. immigration law. He provides strategic legal solutions focused on efficiency, compliance, and long-term success in employment-based immigration.
Mr. Nierman concentrates his practice on nonimmigrant and immigrant work visa petitions, including H-1B, L-1, E-2 investor visas, O-1 visas for individuals of extraordinary ability, EB-1 green cards, and TN visas for Canadian and Mexican professionals. He also advises clients on consular processing, naturalization, adjustment of status, and family-based immigration. His responsive, detail-oriented approach has earned the trust of clients seeking guidance through complex issues such as Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), and administrative appeals.
With extensive experience serving corporate legal departments, HR teams, and foreign nationals, Mr. Nierman brings deep insight into the regulatory requirements of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), and the Department of State (DOS). He is known for integrating technology and process automation to improve compliance, reduce delays, and drive immigration program performance.
Prior to joining The Grady Firm, Mr. Nierman held senior positions at leading immigration law firms and founded his own practice. His diverse client base includes companies in healthcare, technology, education, manufacturing, and transportation sectors. In 2022, he was a featured speaker at the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) National Conference in New York and served as AILA Ohio’s New Members Division Liaison from 2011 to 2017.
Mr. Nierman holds a Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School, where he was a member of the Jessup International Moot Court Team, and a Bachelor of Arts in History and German from The Ohio State University. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio.
